All American Girl

The book All American Girl by Meg Cabot is a great book! I started reading it in English class monday and I'm already almost done with it! The book is about a girl named Sam. Sam has always disliked her sister Lucy. Lucy is the head cheerleader has a boyfriend that Sam is in love with and lucy is an amazing student! But Sam has some talent too, she's is an amazing artist! But one day behind Sam's back, lucy showed their parents the paintings and drawings that Sam had created. When Sam's parents look at these they force Sam to take art classes. Sam then ditches art class to hang out with friends in the city and ends up saving the president of the untied states!
In all, I think everyone should read this book. Its is fun, exciting and just a great read.

  1. I liked this book a lot. I really like Sam as a main character. She's the kind of protagonist who is not perfect but in a believable way - and yes, it is easy to loathe Lucy with her. She seemed real to me, and most of Meg Cabot's main characters are a bit of a stretch for me (Mia Thermopolis? Hello?).

I liked All American Girl but I totally did NOT like the sequel to it. Hated the sequel to it, actually. Sam is too interesting a character to reduce her world to one dimension, and that's what the sequel does in my opinion.

I'm glad you liked this book. You might also like Teen Idol, another one of her non-series books.
